I hear you on bathrooms, I really do. (I hate the way the sound bounces around - even if people are talking in regular voices. It's really claustrophobic.)

Mysterious Skin is one of the hardest things I've ever watched. Not only does it portray some awful things in fairly gruesome detail, but the self-loathing of the protagonist is pretty hard to take.
